DePaul University Computer Hacking Incident (1980)
September, 1980: two Fremd High School students, Brian Catlin and Chris Adams, gained access to an HP 2000 (?) computer at DePaul University, sending messages to admin staff and demanding access to additional software. Chicago PD's new computer crime division investigated and found that the students used “teletypes” (likely DECwriter terminal(s)) at the highschool along with an Ohio Scientific micro in their homes to access the HP system.
